Mel Robbins passed away to be with her parents April 18, 2014 at her Daughter’s residence in Pooler.
She leaves behind her brother, John Porter and wife Dianne of Spirit Lake, Iowa, and her three sons and a daughter, Steve Lyons and wife Terry of Webster City, Iowa, Doug Suhrbier of Boelus, Nebraska, Dave Lyon and wife Jonnie of Clyo, Georgia, and Kathy Vadi and husband Luis of Pooler Georgia, along with 10 grandchildren and 18 great -grandchildren.
Mel farmed and was a Cub Scout Leader before coming to the South where she mastered the Craft of cutting hair. She was a Master Cosmetologist and had her own shop for many years. She then went on to become a bus driver for the Chatham County School System, retiring after 20 years.
Mel’s “Last Request” was to have no service but to remember the times we had together.
