Ms. Frederika M. Ladson, age 42, of Savannah, GA passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 3am at Hospice of Savannah.
On September 23, 1972 Frederika Ladson was born to Minister Doreen Holmes, in Savannah, GA. Her birth father was Freddie Greene. She later became adopted by Dan Ladson at an early age. Deacon Daniel Holmes, who later became her extended father. Ms. Ladson was the apple of her mother’s and family’s eye.
Frederika Ladson was baptized at an early age. She dedicated her full life to serving God. Her love and care for ministry was expressed through caring for her pastors and their families. She loved church, children, and her family.
Ms. Ladson was passionate about children and served as a substitute teacher at Andrew Jackson High School in Jacksonville, Fl. She was also employed by the Jacksonville, Florida Job Corps where she worked until the time of her untimely death.
She leaves to mourn her memory, her mother Minister Doreen Holmes; her extended father, Deacon Daniel Holmes; fathers Dan Ladson and Freddie Greene; seven brothers, Frederick Greene (Rhonda), Dwayne Ladson (Tisha), James Derrick Ladson (Shannon), Daniel L. Holmes, Jr., Arkeem B. Holmes, Freddie Smalls, and Freddie Greene; four sisters, Tracy Gibson (Lawrence), Rhonda Hills, Henrietta Greene, and Dr. Shakela Martin (AJ); many godchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. from the Jonesville Baptist Church-PAW in Savannah. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to Service. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park-West.
