Mildred (Millie) Kasabalis, age 60, of Pooler, passed away Wednesday, January 28th, 2015 at The Place at Pooler Nursing Rehabilitation Center.
A native of Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Gonzalo and Carmen Pantoja Mendez.
Mildred was a member of the Garden City Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses and involved in the Richmond County Board of Education where she worked as a teacher for over 10 years.
Preceded in death by her parents and Maria L. Mendez; survivors include daughters Francis M. Craton of Savannah, Natalie A. Podolski of Savannah, Kay J. Stiles of Savannah, a son, William B. Acevedo of Poland and many grandchildren–Bradley, Estelle, Aliya, Brandon, Ava, Sophia, Alijah, Olivia, Madison, Gabriel and London.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 30th, 2015 at the Kingdom Hall Johovah’s Witnesses in Garden City, GA at 6:30 p.m.

Alethia Sue Pilgrim, age 68, of Savannah passed away Wednesday, January 27th, 2015 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
A native of Decatur, she was the daughter of Harry McCord Sr. and Atta Gilley McCord.
Mrs. Pilgrim was a member of the Christ Church Anglican and the Georgia State University Alumni Association. She was employed at GNC for over 9 years as Assistant Manager. In Alethia’s free time, she would admire and cherish yellow tulips.
Preceded in death by her parents and her son, Rocky McCord, survivors include husband Michael Pilgrim of Savannah, daughter, N. Harmonie Lee of Stockbridge and brothers Harry McCord, Jr. of Carrollton and Jay McCord of Stockbridge.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 1st, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Familes First. Funeral services will be Monday, February 2nd at 11 a.m. at the Christ Church Anglican located at 2020 Bull St. Savannah, GA. Internment will be held on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Southview City Cemetery in Covington, GA located on Southview Drive in Covington, GA.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mercy Ships International or Wounded Warrior Project, two charities very close to Alethia’s heart.

Margaret Hudson, age 85, of Savannah passed away Tuesday, January 27th, 2015 at Riverview Nursing and Rehabilitation.
A native of Dublin, she was the daughter of Ruben Meeks and Emmer Barton Meeks.
Mrs. Hudson was a member of the Bonney Brook Church and was a Department Supervisor for Savannah Bank.
Preceded in death by her son, Willburn James Beasley, Jr. (Jimmy) and Stanley Jefferson Beasley, Sr. (Jeff), she is survived by daughter, Dr. Diane Langston of Stone Mountain, grandsons, Michael Kevin Langston of Canton and Stanley Jefferson Beasley, Jr. (Stan).
Services will be held privately as a family at a later date.
