Victor Mark Polero, Sr.

Victor Mark Polero, Sr., age 60, of Port Wentworth, passed away Wednesday, February 18th, 2015 at his Residence.

Victor was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Morris Polero and is survived by his daughter Shannon Jackson and her husband, Kevin; a son, Victor M. Polero Jr. and his wife, Shannon; his father, Victor Polero, Jr.; two sisters and one brother, Felicia Greer (Jerry), Tony Polero (Connie Dix), and Mary Shawn Barutio (Michael); six grandchildren, Kayla, Jakob, and Alaini Jackson; Tanner Carden, Logan and Olivia Polero; Nieces and nephews, Jessica, Zach, Casey, Nick, Michael Stephen, Lexi, and Alex; aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Visitation: Tuesday, 10:00-11:00 A.M. at Families First Funeral Care. Funeral Services: Tuesday, 11:00 A.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park – East.

Dennis David Polite

February 16, 2015 - Leave a Condolence

Dennis David Polite, was born on December 24, 1976 in Gaithersburg, MD to Joan and Dennis T. Polite. He was known by several names. In his youngerdays, he was known as “Davy”, to some he was known as “Heavy”, to others he was known as “Flub”, and to his dearly departed grandfather David Spann,along with a host of other family members, he was simply known as “Wham”

As a child, Dennis was compassionate, caring, and full of Life, laughter, and fun. He never met a stranger, and he was always the life of the party. Dennis always had a witty sense of humor and a charm about himself that hardly anyone who knew him could resist. He had a way of making you believe that whatever he was saying was “true” even when you knew in your head that it just wasn’t possible. He was cool like that.

He attended school at Savannah High, where there he participated in the band as a drummer. In addition to the playing the drums, he had a beautiful voice and he played a mean saxophone. A few years later he married Trisha McGill and became a father to four beautiful children to whom he loved more than anything.

Later in life Dennis became a mason, he took pride in being a part of the brotherhood and was ecstatic about being a part of such a profound organization. He worked for several years as the manager of operations at R.S.T Care Service, and later as a painter at Thunderbolt Marina. Shortly after his time at R.S.T Care Service, his life shifted in a different direction and he and Trisha decided to part ways. He later met Mungera Cash and welcomed her and her beautiful daughter Azora into his life. He proposed marriage to Mungera and was anticipating spending the rest of his life with her.

Dennis was called home suddenly on February 16, 2015 at St. Joseph/Candler Hospital of Savannah, GA.

He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ruby Smith Spann, David Isaiah Spann and paternal grandmother, Mary Dean Daniels. He leaves to cherish his memory, His Love and companion: Mungera Cash of Aiken, SC. Daughters: Keavante McGill, Tiana McGill, Denise Polite of Savannah, GA; Azora Cash of Aiken, SC: Son: Dennis T. Polite (Debra) of Savannah, GA; Brothers: Jason Polite (Sandra) of Houston TX; Julian Polite (Ja’briel) of Savannah, GA; Charlene Reese of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Marcus Reese of Atlanta, GA and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends

James Winston Waldhauer

February 16, 2015 - Leave a Condolence

James Winston Waldhauer, 43, of Savannah died on February 16, 2015 at home under the care of Hospice Savannah.

He was born on December 24, 1971 in Bangkok, Thailand.

James was the first of three children born to Derell Eugene Waldhauer and Somkiet Lerdsa-ard Tabaka. James moved to Savannah from Goldsboro, NC when his father retired from the USAF in 1993. He had also lived in the Philippines, Hawaii, Nebraska and Thailand. James graduated from Wagner HS and he attended Wayne Community College in Goldsboro where he studied law enforcement.

Prior to being diagnosed with cancer in February of 2012, James worked as a Tree Worker for 15 years with the City of Savannah, Park and Tree Division. James loved his job and his co-workers. He had a positive attitude about life and he never let his illness affect him in a negative way. He was admired greatly by everyone who knew him.

James was an avid movie buff and he especially loved super hero movies. He collected comic books for years and had quite a collection. Having a vivid imagination and an interest in storytelling, he was also known to write detective story scripts.

James had a mild to severe hearing loss and as a result, he did not talk a lot, in fact, he called himself “Silent Jimmy”. However, he let his actions and attitude speak for him, and in that sense he spoke volumes. James always put others first, and one of the things he loved to do was cook for his family and friends.

He loved 4^th of July fireworks and was an active paintball enthusiast, where he called Low Country Paintball his home.

Surviving are his father and mother Derell Waldhauer and Somkiet Tabaka; his step-mother, Eden Waldhauer; his brothers Paul Waldhauer, Michael (Jina) Waldhauer, John (Kari) Waldhauer, Mark Waldhauer and Patrick Tabaka; his sisters Michelle (Gary) Greer, Jesseca (Jeff) Baker, Mary (Andy) Goodnight and Rebekah (AKA Chanel) Waldhauer; as well as many nephews and nieces.

Viewing will be at Families First Funeral Care & Cremation Center (for family and relatives) at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18^th.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Feb 21^st at Savannah Baptist Temple, Dr. H. M. Porter officiating.

Michael (Mike) Adams

February 16, 2015 - Leave a Condolence

Michael (Mike) Adams, age 76, of Port Wentworth passed away Monday, February 16th, 2015 at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation.

A native of New York, he was the son of Purcell Adams and Helen Brickwood Adams. Mr. Adams attained his Master’s Degree at Saint Leo’s University in Florida and served in the Air Force for over 23 years.

Preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Adams and brother, John Adams, survivors include his wife, Geraldine Adams of Pooler; sons, Dennis M. Adams of Pooler and Steven J. Adams (Lisa) of Sumter, SC; grandsons, Steven Wayne Adams of Sumter, SC and Travis Anthony Adams of Sumter, SC and brother, Robert Adams of Pontiac, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at the Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, South Carolina at a later date.

Charles (Charlie) Foster, Sr.

February 15, 2015 - Leave a Condolence

Charles (Charlie) Foster, Sr., age 50, of Savannah passed away Sunday, February 15th, 2015 at his residence.

A native of California, he was the son of Franklin Foster and Mary Harvey Foster.

Preceded in death by his parents, survivors include his wife, Donna Foster of Savannah; son, Charles Foster, Jr. of Savannah; daughters Amanda Neville of Statesboro and Tonya Fordham of Savannah; grandsons, Zachery Fordham of Savannah and Leland Fordham of Savannah; granddaughter, Kinslie Neville of Statesboro; and many brothers, sisters, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends, Thursday, February 19th, 2015 from 9 am to 10:30 am at Families First Funeral Care. Funeral Services will follow in the Savannah Christian Adult Ministry building, at 11:00 am.
