Mary P. Guild, 87, of Savannah, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015 at her residence under the care of Hospice Savannah.

She was born, July 5, 1928, in Atlanta to Alexander Patterson and Ada Bailey Patterson.  At an early age she moved to Savannah. She was employed with Savannah/Chatham Leisure Services as a Playground Director. Mrs. Guild volunteered for many years as a basketball and track coach at Nativity School.  She enjoyed traveling to St. Petersburg Beach, Florida for over 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Douglas Henry Guild, Sr. and a daughter, Martha A. Guild.

Survivors include her daughter, Alexis Moncrief (Jay White); her daughter, Tricia Christensen; her son: Douglas Guild (Cathleen); her daughter, Connie Buckley; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Guild will be private.

Gerald Henry Arthur Eardley, age 67, of Savannah, passed away on Wednesday, July 22nd at Landmark Hospital after a long illness. 

 
A native of Colwyn Bay, Wales, he immigrated to the United States as a young man and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict, earning numerous commendations and medals. Upon returning to the United States, he was honorably discharged and married Phyllis Alexander, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Jack Alexander, in 1972.  In 1980, they returned to settle in Savannah permanently and raise a family. 
 
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Phyllis Nannette Alexander Eardley, son Robert Jeffrey Eardley and family of Jacksonville, Florida, daughter Jennifer Nan Eardley Cadlaon and son-in-law, Melvin, grandchildren Gabriel, Noah and Eli Eardley and numerous siblings, nieces and nephews.
 
A memorial service was held at the chapel of Calvary Baptist Temple, his home church, on Saturday, July 25th. His express desire was to be cremated and have his remains return to his beloved homeland, a wish the family will fulfill in the future.

Offer Condolence for the family of Gerald Henry Arthur Eardley

 Deborah Strom Haney, 51, of Marrero, Louisiana, died Sunday, July 19, 2015. 

She was born in Macon, and raised by Chester Strom and Nettie Pearl Coleman Strom.   

Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her husband David Haney; her children, Jessica, Jacquelyn, Jamie, Katie, David and Autumn; her grandchildren, Rylee, Parker, Brantley and Tripp and a number of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015, at 4:00 p.m. at Harvest Cathedral in Macon.  The family will receive friends after the service.

Louise M. Terrell "Wese", age 91, of Savannah, passed away Saturday, July 18th, 2015 at  her residence.

Herbert Lawrence Drawdy, 84, of Savannah, died Sunday, July 12, 2015 at his residence.

He was born on November 4, 1930, in Walterboro, South Carolina to the late Herbert Lee Drawdy and Lorraine Roberson Drawdy.  Mr. Drawdy was in the Merchant Marines for 10 years.  He owned Eastern Electric Company in the 1960’s and was a master electrician.  He retired after many years as a corporate engineer with GAF.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Carolyn J. Drawdy of Savannah; four children, Wanda Nabors, Gloria Russell, Bruce Drawdy and Julie Amelsberg; seven grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. at 103 Stonewall Drive.

A private Inurnment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
