Gail Elaine McCullough,age 62, died Monday, February, 20th of 2017 at her home in Savannah, Georgia.

She was a great woman she had 2 daughters and 4 sons. She tried her best to give them a good life. She has 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She had many talents, loved to tell stories and had a big heart for anyone and everyone. She battled lung cancer, which is what took her away from us.

She was a great Mom, Mema and Great Grandma. She will be missed by many.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Ruby Edwards Neesmith

February 18, 2017 - 7 Condolences

Ruby Edwards Neesmith, age 88, of Port Wentworth passed away on Thursday, February 16th, 2017 at home.

A native of Emanuel County, she was the daughter of Harvey C. Edwards and Lottie Parrish Edwards. She was Married to James Archie Neesmith, Jr. for 69 years prior to his death in 2013. Ruby was a long-time member of the Port Wentworth Christian & Missionary Alliance Church.

Ruby is survived by her daughter, Sara Ellen Sapp; son, C.J. Neesmith; grandson, James L. Garland; great-granddaughter, Hannah Marlow; sister, Evelyn Fanning of Tampa, Florida; sister-in-law, Hilda Edwards of Brooksville, Florida: several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 20th, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Port Wentworth Alliance Church. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 21st, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Port Wentworth Alliance Church, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Francis John Carozza

February 17, 2017 - Leave a Condolence

Francis J. Carozza, born in Yonkers NY and 26 year resident of Bluffton SC, passed away on February 15, 2017 at the age of 83. Frank proudly served in the US Navy before becoming a Yonkers Police 1st Grade Detective as well as Treasurer of the Yonkers PBA for many years. He enjoyed camping, cruising, playing cards, and was an avid Giants football fan.

Beloved husband of Bonnie (nee Baker). Dear father of Linda (Stephen Maus) and Lori. Loving brother of Geraldine Jensen. Cherished grandfather of Ariel, Katie, Connor and Stephen Jr.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank’s memory can be made to www.kidney.org.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on March 18, 2017, 1:00pm, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 351 Buckwalter Pkwy, Bluffton, SC 29910.

William David Shaw III

February 10, 2017 - 4 Condolences

William David Shaw, III, age 53, of Savannah passed away Tuesday, February 7th, 2017.

Born in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. William was a very skilled man. He was a maintenance Technician with JC Quality Rentals of Savannah. William had the greatest personality ever. He would always have you leaving with a smile on your face. William was a friend everyone would love to have. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and going to the beach. William lived a good life filled with so much love from his family and friends. He loved his music and playing his guitars and wearing his cowboy hats. He also was in the National Guard, when he was younger. William grandchildren called him “Poppy” and his son-in-law called him “Law”.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Shaw, his mother Gale Martucci, his children, Brandy Burns, William Shaw IV, Joshuah Burg, Ashley Ferriera, his brother and sister, Scott and Karen Shaw, his grandchildren, Bryan, Bradley and Isabella Fierriera, Gage Shaw and Nasir Clark. William also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends. He was known to them as “Uncle Bill Bill.”

Williams memories will live on through all of us. Sharing the stories of all his adventures. William lived his life to the fullest. So we must say goodbye for now, for the Angles have come to take him home.

A memorial service will be held, Monday, February 20th, 2017 at 5 pm at Southside Assembly of God, 401 Tibet Avenue, Savannah, Georgia.

Charly Craig Phillips, age 73, of Pooler passed away Wednesday, February 8th, 2017 at Bryan County Health and Rehab.

Born in Richmond Hill to Thomas Charles Phillips and Gertrude Carter Phillips. He was a man of many talents and was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, multiple sisters, and son, John David Phillips.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Sherill McLamb Phillips, sons, Charles Craig Phillips, Jr., Timothy Phillips and wife Melissa, his grandson, Michael Phillips, his sisters, Pauline Kersey and Alice Morgan, many nieces, nephews including, Lisa Monroe, Robin Crosby and Sherry Youmans, and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 11th, 2017 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Central Baptist Church, 4010 Old Louisville Rd Garden City, Georgia 31408. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 pm at the church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Abbey – West.
