Wanda Lorraine Kierstead

Wanda Lorraine Kierstead, age 40, of Savannah, passed away on Tuesday August 22nd, 2017.

Wanda was born in Los Angeles, California on August 27, 1976 to Audrey and Paul Weston. She loved reading, writing, music, candle making, and spending time with her children.

Preceded in death by her mother Audrey Weston she is survived by her husband Jared Kierstead father Paul Weston, brothers: Michael, Josh and John; sisters: Heather, Ashley and Trisha; her five children: Brian, Tyler, Katelyn, Hope, and Jared, and two grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 4 PM at Alpha United Methodist Church, 106 US Highway 80, Bloomingdale, Georgia 31312, Pastor Chris Harvey officiating, immediately followed by dinner at 6 Arbors Circle, Pooler, Georgia 31322.

Howard Stanley Turner

August 28, 2017 - 7 Condolences

Howard Stanley Turner of Savannah, Georgia and significant other of Ann Elder made his transition on Thursday August 24, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Born in Bartow, Florida, he was the son of the late Ivy and Thelma Turner. He was also preceded in death by his younger sister, Wanda Elaine.

Howard was a true southern gentleman. He never met a stranger and was a kind soul that would do anything to help you if needed, always looking out for others. He was a Master Gardener and a Board Member at the Savannah -Ogeechee Canal. He was a humanitarian and an environmentalist, promoting the education of native plants and animals to young and old alike, but his favorite thing was being a stay at home Papa taking care of his girls, Skylynn and Micah, whom he dearly loved with all his heart.

He is survived by his siblings: Johnny and Linda Tucker, Ivey (Petey) and Janice Turner, Bobby Turner and Cindy, Lorrie Holland and Mike, Brenda Hankinson and Rueben, and Paul and Cynthia Turner, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, September 1st, 2017 at Silk Hope Baptist Church, 4929 Pineland Drive, Savannah, Georgia from 6:30 to 8:30 in the evening.

Gregory J. Hensley

August 26, 2017 - 32 Condolences

Gregory J. Hensley was born March 20, 1958 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and died Saturday, August 26th at his home in Midway, surrounded by his loving family. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he began his lifelong career and love of aviation. He will be missed dearly by his friends and co-workers at Gulfstream Aerospace where he worked as an Airworthiness Inspector. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Louise Hensley.

He is survived by his wife Cathy Hensley of the home; son Clifton Hensley of Austin, Texas; daughter Sarah Hensley of Mocksville, North Carolina; and grandson Quaid Keith. In addition, he is survived by 6 brothers – Mike, Gary, Keith, Dennis, Duffy and John Hensley, and 3 sisters – Karen Wilson, Dianne Hensley-Cicchinelli and Christine Hensley-Nelson. He also had many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

He was a devoted and loving husband who loved his career and spending time at home watching the dolphins play, and loved to eat the blue crabs he trapped. He will be remembered for his special smile, quick wit, and his ability to make others laugh. His memory will live on in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved him.

In keeping with Greg’s wishes, there will be no services. His family will meet at a later date to celebrate his life. You may donate in his honor to Savannah Hospice House.

Adrian Bryan Owens

August 23, 2017 - Leave a Condolence

Adrian Bryan Owens, 80, of Pooler, GA. died August 17, 2017. Adrian, son of Amy Gertrude and Eddie Lee Owens, loving husband of Barbara Bennett Owens, passed away on August 17th at his home in Pooler, GA. He is survived by his wife Barbara, his daughter Cindy, and his brother William T. Owens. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Aaron and Daniel. His family would like to give special thanks to Hospice Savannah for their care and assistance during this difficult time. Adrian worked as a Master Mechanic at Reichhold Chemical Company until his retirement in 1999. The important things in his life were his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, his family, and his church. He also loved flounder fishing and Nascar races. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Calvary Assembly of God Building Fund, PO Box B, Pooler, GA 31322. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 24th at 7 pm at Calvary Assembly of God, 1007 US-80 Pooler GA 31322.

Eric Glidden Haylow

August 12, 2017 - 2 Condolences

Eric Glidden Haylow, 71, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Memorial Medical University Hospital. He was born on July 22, 1946 to Jack and Exie Haylow.
Eric is survived by his wife Gale of 22 Years, daughters Christina Haylow (Lonnie), Lisa (Frankie) Davis, Tessa Michael, sons Eric Haylow, Jr., Michael Haylow, brother Errol (Lisa) Haylow and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Eric was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all.
The Family will meet for a private ceremony to honor his life. He will be buried next to his Father and Mother at Greenwich Cemetery in Savannah, Georgia.
