Richard “Ricky” Wayne Altman, 45, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, GA. Ricky was born to David Watson Altman, Sr. and Sylvia Ricks on March 3, 1972 in Savannah.

Ricky is survived by his fiancé Kelly Lane, his children Kristen Altman, Ashley Brabham and Ryan Wallace; his six grandchildren, Garrett and Keegan Altman, Randall, Bella and Brooklyn Brabham and Amelia Wall; his mother, Sylvia Ricks; his step-father, David Rush; his brothers and sisters-in-law, David & Melissa Altman Jr., Brian & Tiffany Altman, Tommy & Lena Altman; his sister and brother-in-law, Shell Altman & Grant Fleetwood; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father David Watson Altman, Sr.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 1, from 2:00 – 4:00pm and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00pm at the Port Wentworth Alliance Church, 222 Cantyre St., Port Wentworth, GA. Cremation will be taken care of through Families First Funeral Care and Crematory.

Kathleen “Kathy” Miles

September 27, 2017 - 5 Condolences

Kathleen Miles, known by friends as Kathy, called grandma by many, passed peacefully at 8:45pm on Tuesday September 26, 2017 at the age of 90. She was in her home surrounded by family, love, and prayer. Born August the 31st, 1927 in Aynor, South Carolina, she moved to Savannah, Georgia at the age of 17.

She lived to care for others and worried continuously for those she loved most. She was an excellent cook, avid sports fan, enjoyed watching hummingbirds and loved flowers of all kinds.

She will be forever remembered by many, including her children, Rhonda Turner, Ashley Beard (Chris Beard), and Allen Miles; Her brother, Levi Johnson; Her pride and joy, her grandson, Greyson Beard.

A graveside service honoring her life will be held Friday September 29th at 10:00am at Hillcrest Abbey West. Reception to follow at Faulkville Baptist Church.
