Edward H. Todd, III, age 71, better known as Buddy, passed away on Monday, February 12th, 2018 at his residence.

A native of Metter, a graduate of Robert W. Groves High School and a Viet Nam Veteran (having served in the United States Army from 1966-1968) Buddy became self-employed and owner of Todd Electric Company on June 4, 1990. Buddy retired in April of 1991 and also retired from the International Board of Electrical Workers Local 508 in 1995. He was also a member of the Savannah Moose Lodge 1550 where he began volunteering as Official Bingo Caller on July 1, 2005.

Buddy will be sadly missed by his wife JoAnn Todd; his mother, Marie Todd (91 years of age); a son, John Edward Todd (Tammy) and nine grandchildren; daughter, Jessica Brown (and fiance Donnie Proman); two sisters, Linda Greenway (Tommy) and Jackie Walker along with four nephews.

There will be an open-casket viewing at the graveside on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Graveside Services to follow at 2 P.M. with Pastor Anslem Springer officiating.

Gregory Fitzgerald Campbell, 43, of Savannah, Georgia passed away peacefully on February 8, 2018 at home.
He was born September 28, 1974 in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Gregory is survived by his parents Veronica J. Campbell-Green of Savannah, Georgia and Alco Campbell; one brother Christopher Campbell (Emily) of Preston, Connecticut; two sisters Camellia Green of New Orleans, Louisiana and Jasmine Green of Savannah, Georgia; a daughter, Journey Campbell of Savannah, Georgia; two nephews, Aiden and Devin of Preston, Connecticut; three nieces, Madelyn of Preston, Connecticut, Casidy and Cali of Savannah, Georgia; one aunt, Janet Duff of New York; two uncles, Keith Allen (Bert), of Philadelphia, Daniel Duff of New York; and a host of cousins and extended family members.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 17th, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Families First Funeral Care with Memorial services to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.

After a courageous fight against Alzheimer’s, Barbara “Honey” Chambliss passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018.
She was born in McRae, Georgia on December 21, 1936. While living in Sanford, Florida she met the love of her life, Doc. They got married and had four children; Lynn Chambliss, Libby Diehl and Rea Bracewell, all of Florida and Roy Chambliss (Mandy) of Georgia. She leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her siblings Tommy Brown (Bonnie), Marietta Brown, J.B. Brown (Annette) and Vicki Brown.
Throughout her life she touched everyone who met her, including the many people she worked with at Sunniland Corporation. After the death of her husband Doc (of fifty plus years) in 2010, she moved to Georgia and over the last few years she made many new friends.
The family sends its greatest thanks to the people at the Effingham County Care Center for the love they have shown Honey.
In lieu of flowers, please send remembrances in Honey’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 201 Television Circle, Savannah, Georgia 31406.

Floyd Lee Ward, age 79, of Port Wentworth passed away Tuesday, February 6th, 2018 at his home under the care of Hospice Savannah.

Born on October 20, 1938 in Robinson County, North Carolina to his parents, James Solomon Ward and Ruby Hunter Ward. Floyd worked in the Civil Service at Hunter Army Airfield, volunteered with the Port Wentworth Planning Committee and was a member of the Marine Rescue Squadron. He loved to fish and hunt and also go to church to worship his Savior. He served the Lord and was an active member of South Newington Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Juanita Turner & Clara Whitaker, he is survived by his wife, Shirley Wilmoth Ward; children, Paul Douglas Ward (Caroline) and Lisa Ward Cowart (Jeffery); sisters, Pat Ward & Karen Berry; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at South Newington Baptist Church. Memorial Services will be held immediately following Visitation at 11:00 a.m..

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Parking Lot Fund at South Newington Baptist Church, 453 John Carter Road, Bloomingdale, GA 31302.
