Vera Ann Oglesby, age 75, of Savannah, Georgia peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Oglesby, her parents Charlie Roy and Mildred Rhodes as well as her brother Bucky Rhodes (Doris).

Ann and Larry early on operated a convenience store for 20 years in Groveland, Georgia where she was loved by many. She loved her family and adored her grandchildren and great grands.

She is survived by her only child, Preston Oglesby (Loni); grandsons Matt (Mary Allison), Tyler(Jordan); great grands: Rawlings, Palmer, John Tyler , and Cannon; her loving sister, Charlene DeWayne and brother, Eddie Williams (Carol).

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, October 27th, 2020 at 11:00 AM in Greenwich Cemetery, Savannah.

Deborah Lynn Fountain, 58, of Milledgeville, GA, passed away on October 8th, 2020 in Savannah, GA.

Her wish was to be cremated and there will be a virtual Facebook service on her page in celebration of her life. Pastor Alton & Beth Carter of Coastal Cathedral of Savannah, GA will be officiating.

Deborah Lynn Brookins (maiden) was born in Frankfort, Kentucky to Ralph Ben Brookins and Betty Rose Simmons on July 19, 1962. She was on the Drill Team and graduated from Baldwin High School in Milledgeville, GA.

She worked in the cosmetology industry as well as the medical field as a phlebotomist. In her younger days, her hobbies included dancing and listening to the oldies. She was a giver and a huge lover of animals and is survived by her chihuahua Coco.

She is preceded in death by father Ralph Brookins, brother Gary Brookins and late husband and father of their child Bobby Frank Coleman.

Deborah is also survived by her daughter, Tabitha (Coleman) Hulvey, son-in-law, Lee Hulvey, soon-to-be grandson, Carson Lane Hulvey, mother, Betty Brookins, brothers, Richard & Russell Brookins and aunts, Barbara Crutchfield, Betty Eubanks, Brenda Tapley, Linda Martin & Shirley Carnes.

In lieu of memorials, donations can be made to Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) located in Milledgeville, Ga.

The Hulvey family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the nurses in ICU at Savannah Memorial Hospital, Hospice and our church family at Coastal Cathedral of Savanah, Ga.

November 7, 1977 – September 30, 2020

Lacresha Ann Dowd went to rest peacefully in Heaven on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, after her battle with Stage 4 Breast Cancer, while in the care of Hospice Savannah and her loved ones. She was just 42 years young.

She was born on November 7, 1977, in Savannah, Ga, and loved by so many. Her mother Leticia Ann Shearouse, her father Michael Dowd, as well as her grandmother Patricia Dowd, live on to tell the stories of her life.

Lacresha’s greatest accomplishment in life was her son Dezmond Hill who has been close to his mother’s side through it all. Followed by daughter-in-law Angela Thompson and grandsons Dominic and Noah. She was the firstborn out of her and her three sisters; Connie Dowd, Christy Hanes, and Nisa Judd. She found her life partner Tracey Gillis and step-son Zac Gillis 20 years ago, who loved her dearly.

Lacresha enjoyed the simple things in life, such as fishing and relaxing on the dock. She loved making people laugh, dancing, and spoiling her fur baby, Molly.
She will be reunited in Heaven with her grandfather, Talmadge Dowd, grandmother Patty McCumber, stepfather Charles B. Shearouse, and nephew, Kyle Bachman.

“We love you Aunt Lacresha,” spoken by nephew Tre Dowd, and nieces Kassie and Kammie Squires, and Destiny Vientos.

A service to celebrate the life of Lacresha Ann Dowd will be held on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2020, at 3 pm in L Scott Stell Park, 195 Scott Stell Road Savannah, Ga 31419.

Guy William Heddendorf departed this life September 25, 2020. Guy was sixty (60) years old.

He was born Guy William Wood on October 29, 2020 on Long Island, New York. Following the death of his father at an early age his mother remarried and he was adopted by her husband, Richard Heddendorf.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Heddendorf and Beatrice Heddendorf, as well as his brother, Robert Wood, his sister, Linda Nguyen and a step-son, Ryan Booth.
Guy attended Benedictine Military Academy but forwent his senior year to enter Armstrong Atlantic University at age sixteen (16) under the Early Admissions program. He later built a successful career in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning industry.

Guy possessed a particular patience with children, the elderly, and animals and was rewarded in turn with their fondness and love. He was generous, he was loyal, and he was brilliant. For nearly half a century no social event was complete until Guy arrived with his broad sense of humor and razor wit. He never met a stranger, yet was an astute judge of character; he made friends everywhere he went.

Guy is survived by his two (2) daughters, Amy Steinert (Josh) and Marcy Mitchell (Aaron) and his three (3) beautiful granddaughters, Chloe Steinert, Hannah Mitchell, Julia Mitchell;
Deborah Heddendorf wife of 22 years and Step Grand Children Ansley and Zachary Booth of Savannah.

A Memorial was held on October 4 at the Skidaway Narrows where family and friends shared memories of their friend and he was released back into the waters where he grew up wild and free… Into the Mystic
