JEANETTE (GODWIN) BURNS NOVEMBER 1, 1935 – JUNE 25, 2021 Jeanette was born in Mullins, South Carolina to Doretha (Strickland) Godwin and Jason Godwin.
The family lived in Loris, South Carolina where Jeanette graduated from Loris High School. She married and was the mother of five children. They lived in Wilmington, North Carolina as well as Brevard, North Carolina before moving to Savannah, Georgia in 1973. She worked full time while raising her children along with her husband. She enjoyed painting, writing, poetry and gardening. She was also a big Atlanta Braves fan. She loved old hymns, her favorites being Sweet Beulah Land and The Old Rugged Cross. She was a member of Hope Baptist Church in Savannah.
Preceded in death by her mother and father, also two daughters, Janice Gail Valverde and Pamela Doreen Loven, she is survived by her son, Carl William (Billy) Loven as well as two daughters, Rhonda Kay Allen and Carol Elizabeth Bierlein; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Reunited in Heaven with her beloved Mother and other family.
