Retired Army Sergeant Richard Silva, 79, peacefully passed away at home on January 21st, 2022 after an extended illness.

Born on January 30th, 1942 to Antonio and Estelle Silva in East Providence, Rhode Island, Richard faithfully served in the Army before retiring and settling in Savannah, Georgia with his family. Following his retirement from the Armed Forces, he was a long-standing Longshoreman of the ILA Local 1475.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nan Sue Silva, his son, Richard Silva, his grandson, Jason Landuyt, and his brothers, Anthony Silva (Anita) and Robert Silva.

He is survived by his children, Mack Silva (Lisa) and Michelle Cooke (Lonnie), daughter-in-law, Nadene Silva, granddaughter, Danielle Landuyt (John), grandson, Ricky Silva (Leigh), granddaughter, Jessica Cooke, granddaughter, Jenna Schneider (Jordan), grandson, Jamie Cave, granddaughter, Brittany Silva, and his great-grandchildren, Dawson, Kaden, Natalie, Waylon, Kase and Stella.

He is also survived by his sisters, Mildred Bucci (Herb), Joan Silva, Maureen Gervais (Glenn), his brother, William Silva, and many nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm on Thursday, January 27th, 2022, at Families First Funeral Care on Dean Forest Road with a Graveside Service at 2:00 pm at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park – West.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

C. Russell Davis, age 71, of Brooklet, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at his home.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. He loved to ride his Polaris Ranger Side-by-Side and dearly loved his family.

Preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Lillian & brothers, Alvin and Eddie, he is survived by his loving wife, Donna; children, Michael & Brandi Davis, Chris & Sherri Davis, Amanda & Franklin Waters, Jenny & Matt Kennedy, Kasey & Michael Cammack, Johnathan Puckett and Lonnie & Jamie Ennis; a brother, Robbie Davis; eighteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Families First Funeral Care. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 11:30 A.M. in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Willie Ann London-Jackson, was also known as Ann to everyone, was born January 31, 1957, in Savannah, Georgia to the parents of Willie L. and Elizabeth London Sr. She received Christ as her Lord and Savior in 2020. She was a member of Litway Baptist Church in Thunderbolt, Georgia. She was a graduate of Windsor Forest High School, class of 1975. She also attended Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Florida. Willie Ann was the 3rd oldest child out of 9 children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Jackson, mother, Elizabeth London, father, Willie L. London, Sr and two sisters Geneva Johnson and Jeanette London.

She leaves to cherish her memories three sisters, Juanita Hamilton (Earl) Savannah, Georgia, Linda Frasier (Dwayne) Pooler, Georgia and Debra Grant, Allenhurst, Georgia; three brothers, Lewis London Mobley, Atlanta, Georgia, Willie L. London, Jr, Pooler, Georgia, Duke London (Jennifer) Atlanta, Georgia; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Willie Ann London-Jackson was a loving person to all who knew her; she had a heart of gold. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Sgt. Richard Charles Robinson, Jr., 73, of Americus, GA passed away peacefully at Hospice Savannah in Savannah, GA on Friday, January 21, 2022.

Sgt. Robinson was born on March 26, 1948 in Swainsboro, GA to the parentage of the late Cpl. Richard Charles Robinson, Sr and the late Wilhelmina Galloway-Robinson who preceded him in death. Richard attended Sumter High graduating with The Class of 1966.  He attended Paine College in Augusta, GA and later decided to join the United States Armed Forces on August 28, 1967 achieving the rank of Sergeant on December 1, 1969. He was stationed at Eielson Air Force Base in Fairbanks North Star, Alaska where he served with the 1995th Communications Squadron until he received an honorable discharge. He was of the Baptist faith and at an early age he joined the Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church and was baptized by the late Reverend R. L. Freeman, Sr.

Sgt. Robinson moved back to Americus in 2017 where he loved fishing, making things by hand, and cooking.

Sgt. Robinson was also preceded in death by his uncles, Rev. Fermon Robinson, Moses Robinson, Edward Robinson and Robert Robinson, Jr.; aunts Louetta Moore and Inez R. Studvient.

Sgt. Robinson leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Ms. Tamiko Tralisha Robinson and Ms. Erica Demetrice Owens, both of Americus, GA; four granddaughters, Miss Jasmine Charnelle White, Miss Sellarica Nicole Owens, Miss Raven Nicole Mann, and Miss Selliyah Lenderica Owens; one grandson (his namesake), Master Ashton Richard Charles Owens; one great-granddaughter Little Miss Skylar Kaylani Mann; and one great-grandson, Master Jestin Devonte’ Deontre’ Johnson, Jr. He is also survived by four aunts, Rutha Mae Jones, Evelyn Robinson, Lillie Mae Robinson, and Rosetta Robinson, all of Waycross, GA; a great friend Rev, Ferrell Malone, Sr.(Keisha) of Waycross, GA  and another great friend Mr. John Boone (Barbara) of Americus, GA , a host of cousins, relatives, and good friends also survive.
