Jonah Bryant Jr., 76, of Savannah, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022.

A funeral service will be held at 4 pm on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Families First Funeral Care, 1328 Dean Forest Road Savannah, Georgia 31405. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 3 pm – 4 pm at the funeral home.

On November 24, 2022, God called Jonah Bryant Jr. Home to join his mother: Cora Lee Daniels Bryant and father: Bishop John Bryant, sisters and brother Annette Bryant, Annie Ruth Graham and Harvell Bryant, along with his eldest son, Arico Timothy Bryant and grandson, Jonah Bryant lV. Jonah’s Legacy continues to live through his son, Jonah Bryant lll (Jerusalema Haqq- Bryant) and daughter Natalie Shea Bryant, his sister Mary Holton, and his 10 grand-children and 10 great grand-children.

Jonah Bryant Jr. was born in Screven County, Georgia however he is a true native of Savannah, GA and was a Thompkins High School Graduate. On in life Jonah followed in his father’s footsteps in his career selection, retiring from National Gypsum in 2012. Following his retirement he went further in employment under DSI Security.

Jonah Bryant was widely known as Juniorboy or Babe amongst his nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom he leaves to mourn.

Annette Johnson Mitchell, age 81, also known as “Lil Sister”, transitioned to her heavenly home on Friday, November 18, 2022. She was born April 8, 1941; the 10^th of 12 children to the late Charlie and Rosa Johnson.

Annette was educated at Log Cabin School and Burgess Landrum High School in Jenkins County. In 1958, Annette moved to Savannah, GA., where she married the late James Nelson Blunt Sr. Out of this union were born three children: Brenda, James Jr., and Diane.

Annette was quiet, reserved, and observant around people she didn’t know. However, once she got the feel of the room, you got to experience the kind-hearted, fun-loving, and humorous type of person she really was. She enjoyed spending time with her family, decorating, and shopping.

Annette was employed at the historic Charity Hospital and William A. Harris Nursing Home in Savannah, GA. in housekeeping until their closing. After a two-year vacation, she started working for herself cleaning houses until retiring the week of her 80^th birthday.

On March 29, 1976, Annette married Paul Mitchell and became the stepmother of three more children: Dana, Don Paul, and Don Diego Cooper.

Annette was a faithful member of The Seed Church (formally Mustard Seed Faith Church) for over 25 years up until the time of her passing. There, she loved to study the Word of God and learned how to have a close personal relationship with Him. She, along with her husband, Deacon Paul Mitchell, were members of the Alter Workers and Friday Night Intercessory Prayer Teams.

Annette was preceded in death by her husband Paul Mitchell and eldest daughter Brenda Lee Blunt Brown.

Annette leaves to cherish and celebrate her memory: son James Blunt Jr. (Barbara) and daughter Diane Hardwick, both of Savannah, GA.; three stepsons: Dana Cooper, Don Paul Cooper, and Don Diego Cooper, of Savannah, GA.; two brothers: Joe C. (Doris) Johnson and Frank (Freddie Mae) Johnson, and one sister Sarah Phillips, all of Savannah, GA.; four grandchildren: Kenneth A. (Ronetta) Brown Jr. and Montrell D. Brown Sr., both of Jacksonville, FL., Damani M. Ayele-Hardwick of Carlisle, PA. and Nadif J. Ayele-Hardwick of Savannah, GA.; eleven great-grandchildren: Kenneth A. Brown III, Tenia Johnson, Breanna Brown, Davon Brown, Chandler Brown, Montrell D. Brown Jr., Montavious Brown, Montez Brown, and Marcel Brown, all of Jacksonville, FL., Nasiah Smart and Nijel Smart, both of Savannah, GA., as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at The Seed Church, 1950 Chatham Pkwy, Savannah, GA 31405. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 11 am to 1 pm at the church.

Cynthia Felicia Smith, 58, of Fleming, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.

Cynthia “Lisa” Felicia Smith was born July 26, 1964 to Carolyn Hutchinson Smith and the late Frank J. Smith.

Lisa graduated from Baker High School in 1983.

She became a member of Beulah #1 Missionary Baptist Church at a young age. She has resided in Georgia for the last 30 years and has gained many friends along the way. She joined Restoration Worship Center under the leadership of Pastor Hubert Quiller.

For most of her life she worked in management and her last held position was as a pharmacy clerk.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Carolyn H. Smith, Crestview FL., four children: Denesha Duval (Jeremy McKnight), Hinesville, GA; NaZeylyus Smith (Keisha Wright), Panama City, FL.; ShaAngeliah Smith, Fleming, GA; Clive Daley, Fleming GA. Two sisters, Alfreda Coney, Orlando, FL.; Karen P. Thomas, West Chester, PA. 12 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild, special friends, Leroy Grant and a host of niece, nephews, family, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Restoration Worship Center, 7446 US Highway 17S, Richmond Hill, GA.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the church.

Lisa will be laid to rest at a later date in Florida.

Horace Boykin was born on April 30, 1954 to the late George Washington Boykin and the late Francis Virginia Boykin. He departed his life on November 7, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Joyce Boykin and Patricia Boykin.

Horace received his formal education at Charles Lincoln Harper High School, then he later on joined the Marines.

Horace was a loving, kind hearted man that loved his godson (Deandre Porter Jr.) and great niece (Mykeria Massey). He loved spending time with his family and pet dogs (Kayla and CoCo). He was engaged to Kimberly Smith.

Horace leaves to mourn precious memories his fiancé Kimberly Smith; four sisters Lisa Scott (Maurice), June Harris, Gaildine Boykin, and Angela Boykin; two brothers George .L. Boykin, Rodney Boykin (Ozilene) and a host of niece and nephews.
