Barbara Ann “Bobbie” McLamb, 67, of Savannah, GA, passed away on July 28, 2024. Born on June 18, 1957, in Cape May, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Ida May McLamb and the late William McLamb. Bobbie was preceded in death by her son Donnie Wallace Jr., and brother Andre.

Bobbie was known for her indomitable spirit, being the strongest person her acquaintances ever knew. A loving and loyal mother, daughter, and friend, her compassion extended deeply to all animals. Her resilience and zest for life were evident in her hobbies, which included dancing, enjoying nature, water skiing, and spending cherished moments with her grandchildren by the river.

She leaves behind a loving family: her mother, Ida May McLamb; children, Angie Wallace, William Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson, and Ashley Johnson; grandchildren, Tavarius Grant, Ruth Williamson, Timothy Wallace, Allen Blitch, Summer Blitch, Rose Blitch, Lilly Blitch, William Folmar, and Robbie Folmar; great-grandchildren, Noella Wallace and Milaya Grant; and siblings, Audrey, Deloris, Phyllis, and Jay.

Visitation will be held at 1 PM on August 2nd at Families First Funeral Home, Savannah, GA 31405, followed by a service at 2 PM.

Her life and legacy will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.

Amber Jane Toomey, age 34, passed away on Thursday, July 25th, 2024 in Savannah, GA. She was born on March 29th, 1990 at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.

Amber was a beloved daughter and friend. She worked as a Restaurant Manager at Applebee’s and was known for her dedication to her job and her kindness towards her colleagues and customers.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Son and Martha Cook; maternal great grandmother, Marian Penholster; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Toomey; paternal grandfather, William Toomey; and uncle, Danny Toomey.

Survivors include her mom, Kandy Toomey; dad, Patrick Toomey; stepmom, Mary Toomey; best friend and partner, Jake Tooley; aunts and uncles, Tony Adams (Tessie), Ricky Adams (Suzanne), Tom Adams (Sherry), Deb Frazer, Michael Toomey (Karen) and Judy Toomey; and numerous cousins.

A gathering of friends and family to celebrate the life of Amber will be held at Families First Funeral Care in Savannah on Tuesday, July 30th, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Amber will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in her honor. Arrangements are being handled by Families First Funeral Care & Cremation Center.

Gordon Anderson, 93, of Savannah, Georgia passed away on July 15th, 2024 at his home. Survivors include his wife, Judy Oettinger Anderson; his nephews, Steve Stuehrk (Karen) and Andrew Stuehrk (JF Callan); and Judy’s cousin, Debbie Platt. Gordon was born in Evanston, Illinois and grew up in Skokie, Illinois. He graduated from Indiana University where he was a member of the tennis team. He served in the US Army and was on a ship going to Korea when the armistice was signed. After taking over his father’s insurance agency, he continued to work as an agent. He enjoyed playing basketball, tennis and golf. During their working years, Gordon and Judy spent every vacation traveling to someplace new. After moving from Wilmette, Illinois to Skidaway Island, they rarely traveled because all days there was like a vacation. Judy thanks the amazing nurses and staff at Savannah Hospice for their help in his last days. Remembrances may be given to Hospice Savannah, PO Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31406.

Billy Houston Brasher Jr., age 64, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Landmark Hospital.

Billy lived in Wrens, Georgia and was born in Mobile, Alabama. He was the son of Billy Houston Brasher Sr., and Mamie Ruth McDonald.

Billy was a very skilled Carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his mother Ruth McDonald, father Billy H. Brasher Sr., step-dad Mac McDonald, and brother James Brasher.

Surviving is his sisters Charlotte Clarke and Becky Morris.
