Joan Corinne Sheehan, age 87, passed away Monday, January 13, 2020, at her residence in Savannah, Georgia.
Born in Brooklyn, Joan was the eldest daughter of Walter and Anita Lemieux. She was a very faithful Catholic and served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. She was a loving mother, sister, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Herbert Gene Sheehan and her son, Michael James Sheehan.
She is survived by her children, Patrick Sheehan (Carol), Cathleen King (Pat), Margaret Wagner (Joe), Kelley Tarr (John), her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, her sister, Lynn Millette, many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 21st, 2020, from 10 am to 11 am at Families First Funeral Care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 pm at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Savannah, Georgia.

Cate, Patrick, Pegi and Kelley, and all Joan’s beloved family, sister Lyne and Guy, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, you were her greatest joy and I’m so sorry she has now left your presence. She was my dearest friend for so many, many years. She remains in my heart (and on my bed with the afghan she made me, as she made for all of you!) We will always have her spirit with us. May we now pray for each other as she always prayed for us. Love you all. JoAnne

A beautiful soul she showed just in her presence. She taught me about Ecclesiology and the understanding of the early church. I’ll never forget that.
She will be missed and is now rejoicing with our Lord. My prayers are with you all ????
Prayers for peace and comfort for the family. Joan was a lovely person for a neighbor and we will miss her also.
