Alan Lawrence Collins

Alan Lawrence Collins, 52, went to rest peacefully with his heavenly father on Saturday, September 26th, 2020.

He was born and raised in Savannah and was raised up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He worked with H&H of Savannah for many years. He was an avid fisherman. Alan became an Inshore Fishing Captain and worked for Miss Judy Charters for many years. He shared his love of fishing with his son who he lost almost nine years ago. Life has been very tough for him living without his son, and then shortly after, losing both parents. Now he is reunited with those loved ones.

Alan was preceded in death by his son, A.J. Collins, mother, Shirley Collins and father, Homer Collins. He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-six years, Sherry Collins; brothers, Homer Lamar Collins, III (Dianne) and Robert Collins (Leslie); sisters, Jean Marie Sapp (Mike) and Jennifer Miller (Michael0; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews & several cousins. Alan will be truly missed.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at a later date. Graveside Service will be family only.

My deepest condolences to my cousins , Robbie, Lamar, Jeannie, and Jennifer along with their families for the loss of their brother, Alan. My heart is broken that he had to leave us so soon, but I know he is at peace now, with the rest of our family.
