Amanda (Mandy) Leigh Taylor was born May 24, 1976 to Arthur Mensing and Pamela Griffin. Mandy was a proud Gemini. She was the 3rd of 5 children. Her daddy’s lil buddy and Mama’s bestie. Mandy entered this world full of quick wit, determination, quirky humor, a gentle heart, and loving instincts to protect her family that grew as she evolved throughout her life. She was unknowingly the glue and heart for many, especially after her parents passed away. Mandy loved hard and with all she had. She loved corny funny sitcoms. Meeting her favorite author Sherrilyn Kenyon McQueen was one of the highlights of her life. She enjoyed her puzzle books and relaxing to her metal music and true crime shows. Mandy was blessed to marry the love of her life, Robert Taylor, and spent her last days truly living life with him by her side.
June 11, 2024, Mandy gained her wings and joined her mother, Pamela Griffin, father, Arthur Mensing, and step father, John Griffin. While she rolls in fields of purple flowers in heaven, she leaves here on Earth her husband, Robert Taylor, her 6 sons, Devyn (Kora), Nicholas (Ashley), Austin (Kelsea), Zachary, Lachlan and step son David. She was the proud YaYa of Carson, Ryleigh, Arianna, Lola, William, Willow and Ivy. She was the center of her 4 siblings Angela, Tami , Amy and James (Sarah). She was the beloved and favored aunt to 11 and great aunt of 10. Mandy had two life long friends, Barbara and Toni. She was loved by so many.
While God gained a beautiful soul, the world, especially her loved ones, lost their best friend, warm hug, and guiding light. We will do our best to honor her by living by her silent, action filled, motto (also her vows) “You’ve got a friend in me. If you’ve got troubles, I’ve got ’em too. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for you. We stick together and can see it through ’cause you’ve got a friend in me”
The funeral service will be held at Families First Funeral Care Chapel on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
