I am so sorry to find out Anne has passed away, and
Billy as well. Henrietta, Anne’s mother, was my mother ‘s aunt or cousin, not sure which. Aunt Annie, Henrietta ‘s mother, was my
great aunt. My mother was. Anna Louise (Schwalbe)Strong , aka Andee. I used to visit with Aunt Annie’, Henrietta and Anne when we were Savanah. I am sorry I didn’t know Billy well. I only met him once, right before he moved to Oregon. There was a 5 year age difference with me and Anne, but Billy was 10 years older, and we lived in Texas at that time , and didn’t see our Savanah cousins a lot. I have always wanted to know Billy better than I did. Anne and I have caught up as adults a few times. The last time she spoke with me was to repeat a hilarious story about my mother. She was at the community garden, and someone there was talking about Weslyn College. She said my Aunt went there. She used a nickname of Andee. And Anne’s friend said that Andee was there, and scandalized everyone because she was smoking a hookah! Anyway, I just loved Anne for telling me that story. I will miss her, even if we only caught up every couple of years or so.
