
Annie L. Vause (Lumley), age 84, entered into rest Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Thunderbolt Transitional Nursing Facility in Savannah, Georgia. She was born in Uvalda, Georgia to the late Elmo and Lessie (Cooper) Lumley.
She was preceded in death by her husband Marion Vause and sister Mary Dewberry Brooks.
She is survived by her children Garlana (Pat) Mathews, Joanna (Humphrey) Velez, and Thomas (Joan) Humphrey. Grandchildren Hunter Mathews, Brendan Mathews, Lauren (Mathew) Baum and Carissa (Daren) Flores. Great-grandchildren, DJ Flores, Chanell Flores and Beckett Baum. Sister, Kathleen (Larry) Cowart, and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Vause was the owner of Hodge Podge Antiques downtown Savannah for many years. She loved spending time with her family, reading, fishing, dancing, shopping at estate sales and collecting antiques. She had a real love for animals and nature. She truly loved spending time with her Grandson’s dogs Georgia and Coal. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society Greater Savannah.
A Visitation will be held Thursday February 6, 2025 10:30am to 11:00am followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00am at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 7020 Concord Road, Savannah, GA 31410. Father Luis will officiate the ceremony.
