April Michelle Brunson-Raices, 42, of Savannah, passed away June 8, 2021.
She was born in Savannah, GA to the late Francis Lucinda VanBrackle-Brunson (mother) and to the late Ernest Merkle Brunson, Jr. (father) on August 26, 1978.
For many years, she worked in the dental industry in different prominent dental offices. She loved her daughter, cousins and her friends and valued their conversations, nature adventures, canoeing trips, walks through the neighborhood with her pet bearded dragon Lyle and dogs, and relaxing by the pool or on the beach. She was close to her daughter Alaina Bree Raices, cousins Dena Wilkinson, Kacie Wilkinson and Bria Milledge, Aunt Phyllis Wilkinson, and her childhood lifetime friend, Yvonne DeDaviess. Even though they had separated, she remained close friends with her former husband Carlos Raices and had many friends that were in her life. April never met a stranger and always brought laughter and smiles to everyone who knew her. To her, family was not defined by blood. She will be remembered as always smiling and laughing, dancing, swimming, summertime traveling, an outgoing beautiful soul who no matter what loved her family, reptilian, and furry friends more than anything.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Stephanie Brunson-Carter. Surviving her is her daughter Alaina Bree Raices, Niece Lauren VanBrackle, Niece Olivia Carter.
A celebration of April’s life will be held by immediate family that will be announced in near future.

💘 you April miss you tons. I can remember skipping school hitting the beach, the mall, downtown, and anywhere else we wanted to go. I know time separates people but every time we seen each other we were always right where we left off the time before. Until we meet again.
