Austin D. Craig

The children of Austin D. Craig announce the passing of their loving father on November 3, 2022
at the age of 91. He was born on September 9, 1931, in Petrolia, PA to Howard and Christina Craig. He
was predeceased by his parents-Howard and Christina, sister- Iris and daughter- Cindy. He is survived by
his wife of 66 years, Doris and their children, Douglas (Dorene), Robin (Dimitri) and Robby (Marla). He is
also survived by 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, brothers Skip, Larry, Dallas and sister, Candy.

He served 10 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a veteran during the Korean War, where he was
an aircraft mechanic with the 5th Air Force, 3rd Bombardment Group (L), 8th Bombardment Squadron
at Kunsan AB, Korea. After his military service, he settled in Savannah, Ga to raise his children. He retired
from Savannah Toyota as a Master Mechanic to spend time with his family and spend his days fishing.

He will always be remembered as a kind individual who always had a smile on his face. He was a
positive influence, with a positive attitude and liked by all who met him.
