Betty Jean Winders Cribb

Posted By Kyle Nikola On January 5, 2022 @ 10:09 am In Obituaries | 4 Comments

Betty Jean Winders Cribb went home to the Lord and her beloved husband, Buddy, on January 2, 2022 after suddenly developing complications from surgery in July. Her children and grandchildren were with her, their sadness tempered by the joy of her reunion.

Betty was born May 8, 1934 to Effie Ward Winders and Joseph George Winders, the second of four children. She married Warren Henry (Buddy) Cribb and they raised their family of three children in Georgia and Florida, always keeping them close to their Lord. Their house was always Grand Central Station with family, friends, and church members in and out especially after Buddy became an Assembly of God minister. Betty never met a child nor a sweet she didn’t love and her grandchildren and great grandchildren loved being at her house and enjoying those sweets too!

Betty was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Reverend Warren (Buddy) Cribb, sister Margaret Kuhn and brother George Winders. She is survived by her brother, Ronald E Winders (Sheila), children, Margaret Mary Byars (Ross), Warren(Bubba) Cribb Jr (Jean), and Debbie Lee (Lannie), granddaughters Shireen Byars Brigel (Steve), Rebecca Byars Davis (Shane), Philip Byars (Shereen), Christy Cribb Newman (Clark), Jennifer Cribb Moore (Barry), Lannie Lee IV (Lisa), and Christopher Lee(Elise); great-grandchildren Cailey Newman, Lexi and Brooklyn Moore, Layth and Adam Byars, Sarah, Taylor, and Porter Styles, Olivia Briegel, Colby, Malachi, and Nadia Davis, Jacob and Abbie Lee, her sister in law, Faith Newman; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins and all whose lives she touched.

Because of Covid, visitation will be held an hour before service, from 12:30 to 1:30 pm on Saturday. January 8, 2022 at Radiant Life Christian Fellowship, 5619 Skidaway Road, Savannah. Funeral Services will follow at 1:30 pm from the Church. Interment : Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested contributions be made to: CPPI (Center for Proactive Peacemaking, Inc) Ross Byars, 5011 Terry Lane, Lakeland, Florida 33813.
