Beverly “Meme” Strickland (Funk)

Beverly “Meme” Strickland (Funk) was born on February 6, 1948 in St Augustine, Florida to Margaret Jean “Peggy” and Fabien.

Beverly passed away peaceful in her daughter’s home, on January 14, 2022. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was the matriarch of the family and will be sorely missed.

Beverly leaves behind her only son Robert Keith Hankla (Teri), her darling daughters, Tracy Lynn Hodges (Jason), Heather Jean Rennells (Jeremy), Regina Michelle Hill (Alexis), all her grand kids and great grands that she truly loved.

There will be a private celebration of life at a future date.

Thank you to the Rennells household for opening your home to our mom and taking care of her in her final months.

My prayers are with the family. Beverly was a loved member of our Young at Heart small group at City Church. She was a friend who challenged and encouraged me. One thing I know, Beverly loved her family and wanted God’s best for them. I will miss her.

Thank you for sharing your Mama with me . She called me her other daughter and I felt her love from the moment I met her over 20 years ago . She was quite the lady and loved y’all like only a Mother can . She is watching over us all now and pain free surrounded by angels in a beautiful place . Til we meet again rest high .
