Carl Nathaniel Johnson was born on December 19, 1963 to Dora Ferguson and the late Albert Johnson in New York, New York.
Carl was educated at Windsor High School in Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating from high school he enlisted in the U. S. Navy. During his time in the service, he learned the trade of truck driving. After discharging from the Navy, he started a career as a professional truck driver. He was a road warrior for 33 years, trucking from East coast to West coast and everything in between.
In 1995 he met and married his wife, Pamela Pugh-Johnson and fathered Carl Johnson Jr., Hevaun Johnson, Brittani Hammer and Horace Whitener.
Carl Nathaniel Johnson departed this earth on Sunday, November 25, 2018. He went peacefully in his sleep knowing he had the love and support of his family during his time of need. He leaves to celebrate his life and legacy, his mother, Dora Perry Ferguson; wife, Pamela Pugh-Johnson; three sons, Carl Johnson, Jr., Hevaun Johnson, Horace Whitener; daughter Brittani Hammer; two granddaughters, Brianna Whitener and Brooklyn Hammer; brothers, Hashim Johnson (wife Mary Lou), Keith Johnson, Alfred Johnson, Alvin Johnson (wife Johnnie-Mae), Joseph Johnson (wife Maddie); sisters, Juanita Johnson, Geneva Wright (husband Tony), Estelle Johnson, Chrissy Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Johnson, brothers Allen Johnson, Charles Johnson and William Perry.
Visitation: Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, 310 Monteith Road in Port Wentworth, Georgia. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Church.Print This Obituary & Condolences
