Carlton Joseph “Poor Boy” Carney, Sr., was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 19th, 1950.
Carl was a professional truck driver for more than thirty-five years; he worked for Chatham Construction Rental, Jevic and ComStar. Carl absolutely adored ALL of his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time fishing and he loved his dogs.
Carl was preceded in death by two sons; Carlton Joseph “Joey” Carney, Jr. and Randall Christopher Carney; his parents Roy Frank Carney and Laverne Elise Justice; brothers, Roy Carney and Daniel Lenik; sisters, Deborah Hamby and Laverne Lenik. He is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Bonnie Carney; daughters Missy Carney (Roman) and Kimmy Larreta (Victor); son, Matthew Sprayer (Allison); brothers, Michael Carney (Lori), Ronald “Meatloaf” Carney (Suzanne), Wayne “Roach” Carney (Patricia), and Walter Lenik; sisters, Mona Good, Debbie Carney and Sandra Atkins; honorary sisters, Toni “Short-Range” Rowland and Julia “Dirt-Dobber” Tyson-Gorgoretti; six grandsons and four granddaughters; several nieces and nephews, as well as an endless amount of friends.
A private Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 5th, 2017 for family and closest friends.
