
Born April 18, 1959 to the late Shirley Jean Butler and late William Beets Carol attended the public school system of Chatham County.
Carol was affectionately known as “Shorty Long”, she was known as the life of the party and party is what she did. Carol worked as a CNA in her professional life. Carol was loved by all that she came in contact with.
Carol had two sons: Ishmil and Usef.
Carol entered into eternal rest on May 17, 2026 due to a long term illness.
Carol leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Ishmil Butler and Usef Butler, her only granddaughter Ah’milla Gordon, three grandsons, Ishmil Butler, Jr., Elias Butler, and Usef Butler, Jr., her sisters, Carlis Butler, and Cheryl Peters (Carey) Battle, brothers, Christopher Butler, and Karriem Butler, nieces, Naimah (David) Faison, Marisha, Talona, Ebonie, Shaniah, Nakiema, and Karizma, nephews, Gregory, Tevin, and Karriem, as well as a host of cousins and friends.
