
Saturday morning, Nov. 11th , Carolyn Shrider, who formally resided on Little Neck Road, passed away peacefully at the Resorts of Pooler nursing home after her battle with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Carolyn (77) was a long time resident of the Savannah since moving from Hinesville in 1993.
Carolyn, a homemaker, and former military wife, was an active member of Savannah Holy Church of God on Little Neck Road. She loved family and church. She was a social butterfly who would try to strike up a friendly conversation with just about anyone, anywhere.
She is survived by her son Van (Ohio), two granddaughters, five great grandchildren, and her brother MacArthur Wood (Illinois). She was preceded by her husband Ralph Shrider, and her brothers Alvin (Al.), RC(Fl.), and John Wood(Opp, Al.)
The visitation will be held at Families First Funeral Care Friday, November 17, 2023, from 1 to 2pm. The funeral service be held Friday, November 17, 2023, at 2pm.
The interment service will be at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery at 3pm.

So sorry to hear of Sister Shrider’s passing. She was such a good friend to my mother. She was always calling and checking on her, bringing her something, etc. She was always so friendly and loving to everyone. She was definitely one of a kind.
