Cathy is survived by her mother, Bernice Abernathy; her sisters, Teresa Longstreath and Beverly Wright; her brothers, Ed Abernathy and Harold Abernathy; children: Angela (Tim) Merchant, Jerry Ireland, and Eric (Amanda) Ireland; eight grandchildren, Marissa McGillis, Dillon Ireland, Taylor Merchant, Stephen Stokes, Cortney Wall, Justin Wilkinson, Ashlyn Lockard, and Samantha McGillis.

Condolences for the family of “Catherine Stephens”

Condolence from Barbara Boykin on September 6th, 2021 11:36 am

I will miss Cathy so much, we have always lived so far apart until a few years ago and I only saw her at family reunions. For the last 3 or 4 years we have been talking on the phone quite a bit and took a trip to pigeon forge a few years ago. She and I had a common interest in plants and what we could do with them in our yards. I always knew if I was down about something I could call her and she would have me laughing. I loved her so much and will miss her and her craziness. R.I.P. sweet cuz and friend. Much love and prayers for all of you.
