
Charlene Mildred (Vickery) Hartzell, 67, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday October 20th 2023.
Charlene was born in Savannah, Georgia on October 21st 1955 to the parents of Mary (Meeker) Vickery & Britt Vickery, & growing up Charlene placed 1st runner up in the little miss America pageant in the Hollywood bowl. She loved her faith & family dearly, the beach, pool days, playing pranks, coffee creamer, talking on the phone, & a good manicure. Charlene attended Herschel V Jenkins High School before starting her life’s work in being an Ambassador of God & work in interior & exterior design.
Charlene was proceeded in death by her mother Mary (Meeker) Vickery, father Britt Vickery, brother Joe Williams, niece Katrina Ward, nephew Barry Williams, & is survived by daughter Melissa Hartzell, son Daniel Hartzell, brother Eddie Williams, sister Willie Crews, sister Barbara Holland, sister Cathy Switzer, sister Juanita Williams, brother Britt Vickery, brother Billy Vickery, sister Sylvia Saunders & four grandchildren, Mason, Layla, Lennon, Livie & many niece’s & nephew’s. Charlene will be missed by all!!!

Charlene was my beautiful sister, my friend, my prayer partner and my trusted confidant. I will cherish the wonderful life time of memories that we made together and will hold you closely in my heart until we meet again. I know that you are with the Lord now and you are free from pain. I’m grateful that God loaned you to us to love. You were and will always be a huge part of our family. We loved strong. I love you my dear sister and I miss you more than you will ever know. Rest in the arms of Jesus until we one day see you again. I love you with all of my heart .
