Charles “Larry” Smith, age 80, died on Friday, April 23,2021.  Larry was born March 18,1941 in Savannah, Ga. to the late Pearlie Smith and Mattie “Ruth” Smith.

Larry was a loving husband, brother, father, and granddaddy.  He served in the National Guards. He enjoyed being outdoors; hunting, fishing, and had a great passion and ability for wood working.  He was a man of few words, but a sucker for sweets.  The true definition of an honest man to strangers, friends, and family.

Larry was preceded in death by his two brothers, Kermit and Glenn Smith.

Larry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Martha Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Julia and James Wilcox: and Dannielle and Michael Douberley; 4 grandchildren, Kimberley Dasher, Colt Christian, Ashley Douberley, and Tabatha (Ryan) Renfroe; and 7 great -grandkids, Timmy Dasher III, Greyson Dasher, Brodey Knight, Aulbrey Knight, Harley Douberley, Carter Renfroe, and Piper Renfroe and a sister, Norma Beasley.

The family has arranged a Memorial Service Thursday April 29, 2021 at 6:00 pm at Central Baptist Church, 4010 Old Louisville Rd., Garden City, Ga. 31408
