Charles Mark Gerber, 66, Passed away 9/19/2025.
A native of, Sandusky, Ohio he was the son of Phillip H. Gerber and Doris A. Harmon-Gerber.
Volunteer Firefighter in City of Ashland Fire Department for 11 years. Maintenance Engineer and Chemist at Ashland City Water Treatment for 30+ years. Graduate of Sandusky High School in 1977. Catholic and parishioner of St. Anthony Mission Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by Phillip H. Gerber and Doris A. Harmon-Gerber.
Survivors include Judith Vrooman (spouse), Thomas Gerber (brother), Patricia Gerber-Davis (sister), Janet Gerber-Wilcox (sister), James Gerber (brother), Kelly Gerber (daughter), Benjamin Reeve (son), Cordell Gerber (grandson), and Kida David (granddaughter)
Celebration of life and mass will be held at Holy Angels Church in Sandusky, Ohio at 10:00 AM on October 16, 2025.

We are so very sorry for your loss. Both Richard and I had the privilege of working with Charles for many years, and I always called him Charles. We have such fond memories of our conversations with him outside, especially when we would talk about motorcycles. Richard and I ride a Harley Davidson, and those Harley chats with Charles were always something we looked forward to. He had a way of brightening our days, and we hope we did the same for him.
Charles will be missed so much by so many people whose lives he touched. Our heartfelt prayers and deepest sympathy go out to all of you during this difficult time.
