“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” – Proverbs 31:25. With profound sadness and immeasurable love, we announce that Cindi Leticia Holliday Smith, affectionately known as “T” or “Cindi Jr.,” gained her heavenly wings on June 24, 2025, in Savannah, GA, following an aggressive battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 51 years old. Born on July 28, 1973, in Rome, Georgia, to Cindy Jones and Michael Holliday, Leticia was the radiant heart of her family known for her infectious smile, quick wit, and warm, vibrant spirit. She lit up every room she walked into and poured love into everyone she encountered. Leticia graduated from Coosa High School, where she was a proud member of the Varsity Girls Basketball Team and performed in the Color Guard for the Coosa Marching Band. She later attended Floyd Community College and transferred to continue her education in Information Technology. Her career began with Floyd County Schools before she joined International Paper, where she thrived and eventually relocated to Savannah, GA, as an Application Analyst.
Leticia married her high school sweetheart, Kevin Smith, and although their paths eventually parted, their union brought her life’s greatest blessings her four children: Kierra, Kianna, Kevin Jr., and Kamille. In 2013, her world expanded with the arrival of her first grandchild, Kobe Drew, who stole her heart instantly. More recently, she found new joy in the birth of her granddaughter, Arielle Grace. Family was her heartbeat. The love she shared with her children was her entire world. Every day spent together was a celebration full of dancing, laughter, joy, and the kind of closeness that made even ordinary days feel extraordinary. She welcomed others into her home with open arms, extending love, care, and understanding without hesitation. Her home was a safe haven, and her heart had room for all. To her children, she was not just a mother, she was their protector, nurturer, counselor, and biggest cheerleader. Their well-being was her constant concern, and her love for them was deep, unwavering, and limitless.
In November 2024, Leticia was admitted to Candler Hospital, where she remained until May 2025. Following her diagnosis of Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, she made the courageous decision to return home under hospice care, surrounded by those she loved most. Her daughter Kianna lovingly provided round-the-clock care, ensuring she was never alone in her final weeks. “And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” – 1 Corinthians 13:13
Leticia was preceded in death by her grandparents. She is survived by her loving mother, Cindy Jones Garrett (Allen), her father, Michael Holliday, aunt Regina Jones, uncle Howard Jones Jr., and siblings Holli Woods, Erin Austin-Holliday, Nicholas Austin-Holliday, Genise Austin-Holliday and Desiree Austin-Holiday. Her legacy continues through her beloved children Kierra Mielle Smith, Kianna Lanice Smith, Kevin Demetrius Smith Jr. (Raphaelle), Kamille Jessaura Smith and her cherished grandchildren, Kobe Drew Smith and Arielle Grace Smith. She is also survived by her best friend, Keeshia Carter, and lifelong cousins and friends, including Tamika Weaver and Kimberly Watts Jones.
“Her children arise and call her blessed…” – Proverbs 31:28
Leticia lived with intention. She loved boldly, gave freely, laughed deeply, and endured silently. Even through pain, she smiled. She made life beautiful with what she had and shared her joy with everyone she met. Though our hearts ache with a grief words can’t express, we vow to carry forward her legacy living with the same bold love, fierce joy, and unshakable faith that she showed us every day.
We miss her more than words can ever say. You may be gone from our sight, but never from our lives, our laughter, or our love. Until we see each other again, we’ll hold you close in our hearts.

“T” was truly someone who could light up any room she entered. From the very first time I met her, she felt like family. I was introduced to “T” through my childhood friend, Kevin Smith, who was her husband at the time. I still remember when we were all younger, going to church together with Pastor Linda Smith, Rita, John, and Linda McConnell HALLELUJAH! 🙌🏾🙌🏾 “T” loved the Lord with all her heart, and without a doubt, God loves “T” even more.
My deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers go out to T and Kevin’s children, to Kevin himself, to T’s parents, aunts, uncles, coworkers, and friends. May God comfort and strengthen each of you during this difficult time. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️

I am saddened by the loss of Leticia. Even though I didn’t work at her facility our paths did cross as IT workers often do. She was a joy to work with on issues and as mentioned many times, she lit up the room. She will be missed by many of us whose lives she touched. Rest in Power!
