Dana Rebecca Rowell, age 59, passed away January 29, 2026 at Memorial Hospital.
A native of Savannah, Georgia, she was the daughter of James (Jimmy) Rowell and Sandra Sanders.
Dana was a lifelong animal lover who rescued and cared for countless dogs, cats, and various other animals throughout her life. She also found great joy in boating and spending time on the river. She attended Georgia Southern University and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She was the proud owner and operator of Coastal Dry Cleaners for many years.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra; her father, Jimmy; and infant daughter, Haley.
Survivors include sisters Kelli Mahany (Kevin), Kerri Cupstid (Richard), and Kendall Tanner (Fred). She also is survived by her nieces and nephews: Elise Brewer, Chris Tanner, Jamie Tanner, Anna Kate Mahany Gardner, and Taylor Mahany.
Services will not be held at this time. A private celebration of Dana’s life will take place at a later date.
