On Sunday, June 23, 2019, Darrell Conrad Dengerud, loving husband and father of four
children passed away at age 81.

Darrell was born on April 1, 1938, on a farm near Spicer in Kandiyohi County Minnesota to Emil
Oliver and Agnes Tillelina (Knutson) Dengerud. He joined the US Army and after his service, he
began a long and successful career in the construction industry. Darrell’s projects included an
air base in the High Arctic at Thule, Greenland, as well as several of the 1,000 Minutemen
Missile Silo sites. For most of his career, he worked as a Project Manager of commercial
construction projects.

On September 30, 1962, he married Beverly Ann Boyd. They raised 3 daughters, Tracie, Karen
and Christina and one son, John.

Darrell’s passion was travel. He loved spending time in the mountains and at the sea. He
ventured to most of the 50 US states as well as many countries including Italy, Canada, Taiwan
and Mexico. He shared the love of adventure and nature with his family with cross country
road trips, camping and fishing expeditions.

Darrell was preceded in death by his father, Emil, his mother, Agnes, and three brothers,
Marvin, Emil Jr. and Roger Dengerud. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Beverly and his
four children, Tracie Oberuc (Tim), Karen Bradley (Charles), John Dengerud and Christina Enno,
his brother, James, nine grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews.

At Darrell’s request, a memorial service will be held at Wilson Funeral Home in Panama City,
Florida, with inurnment in the Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Florida. Date and time
will be announced at a later date.
