
David John Thomas, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, at the age of 78, in Savannah, Georgia. Born on January 8, 1947, in Beverly, Massachusetts, David lived a life full of love, laughter, and service.
David was the cherished son of Edward Joseph Thomas and Yvette Ouimette. He is survived by his three devoted daughters, Jennifer Thomas, Kathleen Wagner, and Tammy Thomas, who held him dear to their hearts. He is also survived by his sister, Kathy Odendahl, who shared many fond memories with him throughout their lives. David’s family was his pride and joy, and he instilled in them the values of kindness, laughter, and resilience.
A proud Army veteran, David served his country during the Vietnam War, a testament to his courage and dedication. After his military service, he transitioned to a career as a dispatcher for C White and Son, where his colleagues admired his work ethic and good humor.
David’s hobbies brought him immense joy. He loved spending time riding his golf cart around the lake, relishing the beauty of nature and the tranquility it provided. His affinity for making people laugh and his kind-hearted spirit endeared him to all who crossed his path. Friends and family alike will remember him for his warmth, his infectious smile, and the light he brought into the lives of those around him.
In his final days, David received exceptional care at Memorial Hospital, and his family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff for their kindness and support during this difficult time.
A celebration of David’s life will take place on October 30, 2025, at 10:30 AM at 1328 Dean Forest Rd, Savannah Ga, 31405
David John Thomas will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by his family and friends. His legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will forever remain in their hearts.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the loss of my greatest friend Dave as I’ve always called him my ” Buddy “. I met Dave years ago and we would go riding he really enjoyed his motorcycle and so did I. I was his riding buddy I always had so much fun with Dave . We made a great laughing team too cause I love to laugh as much as he did. What a heck of a friend you were indeed Dave.
