Dennis Alan Folker, age 71, of Guyton, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020, at his residence.
Dennis was born on November 17th, 1948 in Reidsville, Georgia to James K. and Doris Baxter Folker.
Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife, Vickie; their daughter, Janna Ashe (Matt); grandchildren, Alyssa Folker, Anthony Ashe and Nathan Ashe; and his sister, Phyllis Kruise.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 15th, 2020, 1:00 P.M. at Trinity Baptist Church in Springfield.

So sorry for the loss of your Dad. He was always such a sweet man. Prayers for you and your family ❤️????.
I had the pleasure of having Mr. Folker as my 9th grade Biology teacher at Savannah Arts Academy and I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He will always be remembered for his wisdom, great sense of humor, and entertaining stories. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
He will surely be miss prayers go out to his family as a member of new hope Christian church
I just learned this afternoon that Dennis had passed away and am so sorry for your loss. It was a pleasure having him, his Mom and Dad and Phyllis as neighbors for many years. The family was musically gifted and I enjoyed listening to them sing hymns.

I’m so sorry for ur loss…I enjoyed the times he and I talked when we were at the wrestling match…such a kind man…..he will b missed….God bless u and ur family
Dennis tried to reach me a few months ago as he did periodically through the years I have known him. He was a welcoming presence at Effingham County High School where I met him, when I came to Georgia to teach. He was gracious enough to share his wonderful musical talents by singing at the wedding of my husband, Peter t Moore, and myself. He had such a fabulous voice. It was always pleasure to see him and hear him sing. Pete, unfortunately, predecessed him January 3rd. Rest in peace, friend. I’m sad you’ve had your last cruise in this world.
