Dionisia Acevedo “Lula”
February 4, 1950 – July 1, 2016
It is with the deepest sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother Lula on July 1, 2016 at the age of 66.
She was a loving mother of Gladys Perez (Jesus), Nereida Perez (Alberto), George Perez (Kim), Moises Perez, Michael Perez (Jessica), and Lisandro Acevedo. She departed this earth while resting peacefully at home with her loving companion of 35 years Jose Rappa at her side after fighting a long debilitating battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Survived by 16 grandchildren Justin, Kasandra, Zabdiel, Jerimiha, Shirley, Jonathan, James, Moses Jr., Maria, Emilio, Jacob, Michael Jr., Melissa, Destiny, Isaiah and Kyla. 3 Great-grandchildren Kariely, Niomi and Marco Jr. As well as 2 step-granddaughters Blakeley and Sarah and 2 step-great-granddaughters Bailey and Isabell. Lula leaves behind 3 sisters and 6 brothers. She will also be missed by many many nieces and nephews.
Lula’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Compassionate Care Savannah for all of their support though out her final days.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 6th at Families First Funeral Care. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 7th in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Westside Memorial Park, Adams Road, Bloomingdale.
