Doyle was a member of the Fairfax Baptist Church. Growing up in Fairfax, Missouri, he was an eagle scout and a member of mic-o-say. He loved his Ford Galaxies. He put a lot of miles on them cruising Fairfax and around Atchison county in his younger years. He worked with Hale Craven & Family on their farm during his late teen years as well as Egland Machine Shop and Cooper Farms Trucking. Doyle was always up for an adventure. He was in the high school band, played football and was in track. Doyle graduated in the class of 1980. He loved music and his favorite bands were the Eagles, the J. Geils band, Lynard Skynard & Alabama.
Doyle met and married Barbara Yandell in 1984. Barbara was a widow with four small children. They moved to Georgia when Doyle joined the military. Doyle later on moved to South Carolina and had a fulfilling career as an Electrician Journeyman Wireman and Treasurer with the Union, IBEW 776 for over 18 years.
Known for his big heart and generous spirit, Doyle was always ready to lend a hand without expecting anything in return. He had a passion for animals, laughter, and enjoyed hobbies such as working on cars, bowling, and attending comedy shows. He also considered himself as a food connoisseur because he loved to eat out and experience different foods. His comedic nature often shone through in his everyday activities, whether working in the yard, grilling or attempting DIY projects that didn’t always go as planned.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of being Doyle’s classmate. He was just as the obituary said “kind, helpful, friendly, and always there to help someone out”. We spent a lot of time together in Scouts, camping and earning our Eagles. Lots of great memories. May God bless you all at this hard time. He will be missed !
