Eddie Joseph Schmitt, of Springfield passed away peacefully at home on April 8, 2025.
Eddie is survived by mother Mary Rainey Roberds of Springfield; sister Kelli Burke of Rincon; three nephews and one niece; several aunts and Uncles. Eddie was a beloved only son, brother, uncle, and nephew.
Eddie worked as an IT customer service consultant, a career that reflected his deep love for technology and helping others. He was passionate about computers and was an avid gamer who found joy, connection, and adventure in the digital worlds he explored. He was also a devoted dog dad to Harley and Sadie, who were his loyal companions and brought him immense happiness.
Eddie will be remembered for his kind heart, quiet strength, and the deep love he shared with his family, friends, and furry companions. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
