Edgar “Buck” Kelly Beecher, Jr.

Edgar “Buck” Kelly Beecher, Jr – RINCON – Edgar “Buck” Beecher, Jr, 78 of Rincon, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2015 at Hospice of Savannah surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Beecher was born in Savannah to the late Edgar and Mattie Beecher.  Edgar “Buck” graduated from Commercial High School. He served his country with the Georgia Air National Guard.  He worked many years as a maintenance technician at Union Camp, Kaiser, and Katalistiks before owning and operating Advanced Water Systems in the Savannah, Augusta, and Valdosta areas.
 
He was an avid Outdoorsman and Fisherman who loved spending time with his family.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife Johanna Cleary Beecher, and a sister Jane B. Alford.  He is survived by his children Faith (Pat Evington) Beecher of Rincon, Michael Beecher of Colorado, Joseph Beecher of Florida, and Daniel (Karen) Beecher of Rincon; two sisters Barbara Beecher of Midway, Rose Kopta of Atlanta; his Uncle Krozer (LaTrelle) A. Earley of Savannah; and his grandchildren, Grant, Kristian, Aiden, Maddi and Jordyn, many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends at Silverwood Place.
 
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 3rd from 1-2 p.m. in the Chapel at The Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum with Rev. Ken Sharpe officiating.  
 
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Mr. Edgar K. Beecher to Hospice Savannah Foundation at P.O. Box 13190 Savannah, GA 31416; donations can also be made online at hospicesavannah.org.
