Eleonore Halvorson, known to many of her friends as Maggie, passed away on Wednesday October 19, 2022, surrounded by loved ones, as she always wished.

She is cherished and lives on in the hearts of her mother, Maria Luise, stepfather Hans Jurgen, sisters Katja and Sabrina, brother Winfried, son Alan, daughter Tabatha, daughter-in-law Robin, grandsons Gray, James, and Lucas, and dear friends Gloria, Ute, and Linda.  She will be missed by many other special friends and family.

Eleonore was a proud German and American.  She was strong and brave, stubborn and funny, hard working through her whole life, and very loving.  She adored her cats, Zoe and Churchill.

There will be a small intimate gathering of friends and family to share memories and stories of Eleonore in her home on Sunday October 23, 3-5pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Eleonore’s memory to any cancer charity would be greatly appreciated by her loved ones.

I knew Maggie for a short time. After she moved away from where I live we kept in touch. I admired her spirit, her bravery. I enjoyed our talks and felt an instant connection. When my mother battled breast cancer Maggie always asked about her while fighting her own fight. She cared a lot for others. Even though I didn’t know her long, I’ll never forget Maggie.

Condolence from Melanie Dick on November 14th, 2022 12:20 pm
