F. Everett Bowen, Jr., age 67, of Savannah passed away Friday, March 27th, 2015 at his home under the care of Gentiva Hospice. Special thanks are offered to his caregiver Carolyn Gadson.
A native of Savannah, he was the son of Floyd Everett Bowen, Sr. and Thelma Strickland Bowen . Everett was a longtime Nursing Assistant at Candler Hospital where he offered invaluable assistance to the Doctors and Nurses. He was loved and respected by all of his associates. A gifted pianist, he played for many years at Central Junction Baptist Church where he was a member.
Preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Bowen is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Patricia Padgett Bowen; siblings, Ann Garrett of Bloomingdale and Ellen Weldy of Acworth.
Memorial Services will be held Thursday, April 2nd, 2015 at 5:00 pm in Central Junction Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted to help offset funeral costs.
