Mr. Frederick Alan Free of Pembroke, GA passed away on Monday, June 15, 2015 at the age of 62.
Mr. Free was born on February 2, 1953 to the late Joseph Free Sr. and Louise Akers Free in Altoona, PA. He grew up the second of five children and joined the Army shortly after his 17th birthday serving two tours in Vietnam. Fred served his country with valor earning many awards including the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and the Air Medal.
Mr. Free is survived by his brother Joseph Free Jr. and his sisters Linda Hileman and Deborah Shelow. He was preceded in death by his sister Rebecca Billard.
Services will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. The family is grateful for all condolences, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
