As my courtroom deputy for many years, Geneva and I went through many contentious trials. She was always steadfast and helpful. I knew that she would always be at work, even though she was having health problems or having a bad day. We became good friends. I would sometimes ask her opinion about whether she thought a particular witness was credible, or what jurors might be thinking. We would also chuckle together about silly things that happened in the courtroom. Since I have moved to Northern Michigan and am of an advanced age, I will not be able to attend her gathering in Chattanooga. However, I do wish Selena and th entire family the very best. Geneva will surely be missed.

Rest assured that you will be reunited with her one day and be happy in knowing what she is experiencing at the moment. My prayers of comfort and peace be with you both.
