George Douglass Twyford (Doug), 66, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at St. Joseph’s/ Candler Hospital in Savannah, Ga.
Mr. Twyford was a loving, loyal, dependable, and dedicated father, grandfather, husband, brother, and friend. He was a native of Onancock, Va and spent most of his life on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. For the past 15 years, he lived in Statesboro, GA. He was employed by Crider Foods in Stillmore, Ga where he worked as an engineer.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Susan Twyford Hite and Todd Hite of Pocomoke, MD; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Douglass Twyford and Letisha Williams Twyford of Panama City, FL; wife, Tracy Jacob Twyford of Statesboro, GA; grandsons, Todd Hite, Jr., Hunter Hite, Watson Douglass Hite of Pocomoke, MD and Trigg Douglass Twyford of Panama City, FL; granddaughter, Madelyn Margaret Twyford of Panama City, FL; sisters, Jane Twyford and Joan Twyford Wilkins of Richmond, VA.
Mr. Twyford was the light of many lives and will be greatly missed by all who love him.
