Henry Frank Kelley Sr., 93, of Tybee Island, Georgia passed away
Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Summer Breeze Assisted Living surrounded by
his loving daughters.
Frank was born on June 17, 1929 in Sipsey, Alabama to the late Sandy
Alexander Kelley and the late Flora Wright Kelley. He was the oldest of four children.
The family moved to Savannah, Georgia when he was a young boy.
Mr. Kelley retired from Union Camp Corporation as an Paper Mill Assistant Superintendent
in 1991 after 43 years. During that time, he also served his country as a Master
Sergeant in the National Guard, 48th Infantry Division, 118th Field Artillery. He loved
fishing, boating, and was a dedicated family man.
Frank married Mary Charlotte Jackson in 1948 and they were married 48
years until her passing in 1996. They had three children, Janice, Frank Jr. and Melinda (Lindy). He later married Ceciline Harn until her passing in 2017.
He was a Godly man of deep faith and a longtime member of Chapel By The
Sea Baptist Church of Tybee Island, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Charlotte Kelley, Son Henry Frank Kelley, Jr., 2nd wife Cecilene Kelley, Granddaughter Pamela Gail Kelley, Sister Jean Brazell, and brother Charles Kelley.
Mr. Kelley leaves behind his daughters Janice K. Powell (Kenny), and Melinda L.
Horton (Paul) both of Wilmington Island, Georgia, Daughter-in-law, Marlene
Kelley of Monroe, North Carolina; two Step-Daughters, Debra Stark(Terry) of
Prairieville, Louisiana, and Michelle Peterson (Jamie) of Pooler, Georgia; Nine Grandchildren, 3 Step-Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and many other numerous family members and friends.
Graveside Service will be Tuesday, April 25, 2023, 11:00a.m. at Forest Lawn
Memory Gardens, Garden of Gethsemane. Pastor David Laughner will be Officiating.
