Family and friends will gather to mourn James Crawford Bennett, Jr.’s passing on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, South Carolina.

James Crawford Bennett, Jr., as he was known, closed his eyes for the last time at Hilton Head Hospital on Friday, November 27th, 2020.

James Jr. was born on March 14, 1952. His parents were the late James Crawford Bennett, Sr. and Dorothy Beckett Bennett. Their union produced three children. James C. Bennett, Jr., Gloria Bennett, and Annie Ruth Bennett.

He was married to his high school sweetheart. J.C. Jr. was the father of three; Catherine Bennett-Edwards, Angela Bennett, James Christopher Bennett. Grandfather of C’ante, Pauline, Steven, Kaia, Caitlyn and Isaiah and three great-grands.

J.C. Jr. was a graduate of Matthew E. West High School in Hardeeville, South Carolina.

He joined the United States Air Force in 1971. In 1971 he rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant. He received several commendations.
