James Reeder III

James Reeder III, born January 1, 1942, died February 4, 2017 under hospice care in his home, family members by his side.

He lived in Peoria, Illinois until 1984 when he moved his family to Savannah, Georgia. James was an Iron Worker for over 50 years in Locals 112, 387, and 709. He also coached at the Habersham YMCA in Savannah.

James was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Reeder, father James Reeder II, step-father Richard Reeder, sister Sharon Reeder, and two sons, Steven Reeder, Michael B. Reeder, Sr.

He leaves behind his wife Mary Reeder; and children, James D. Reeder of California, Anthony Hills of Atlanta, Georgia, James D. Hills, Jr. of Savannah, Richard Reeder of Savannah, and Michael Reeder, Jr. of Savannah, Lorentz Reeder of Savannah, John Reeder of Pekin, Illinois, and daughter Kathy Reeder Walters of Pekin, Illinois; sisters and brothers, Richard Reeder, Donald Reeder, Marylin Hoskins, Ronnie Reeder, & Kenny Reeder of Peoria, Illinois, Gerald Reeder of Versailles, Kentucky, Larry Reeder, Patricia Reay, & Carol Grammar of Peoria, Illinois; several grandchildren.

James was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Savannah, Georgia.
