James Thomas Monroe, 79, of Guyton, Georgia passed away at his home on Thursday, November 4, 2021.
He was born on February 12, 1942 to the late Martha Kolaric and William Joe Thomas. He enjoyed fishing and feeding squirrels.
He is preceded in death by his sisters, Sheila Puckelwartz and Joann Chambers.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory one sister, Linda Smith and husband Fritchy of St. Augustine, Florida; two brothers, Bobby Monroe (wife Rita) of Colorado and Jack Monroe (wife Lisa) of Guyton, Georgia; five children, Libby Green (husband David) of Cleveland, Tennessee, Melvin Monroe (wife Susan) of LaGrange, Georgia, Timothy Monroe (wife Paula) of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Toni Sue Houser of Savannah, Georgia and Theresa Perry (husband Paul) of Cleveland, Tennessee; nine grandchildren, Steven Monroe, Cynthia Lawson, Marc Pettit & Michael Perry of Cleveland, Tennessee, Tabitha Monroe and Alisa Janney of LaGrange, Georgia, Bethany Lawson of Mississippi, Michael Houser of Savannah, Georgia & Travis Houser of Athens, Tennessee; several great-grandchildren.
Per his wishes there will be no services.
