
Janice Doyle Taylor was born on October 27, 1951, to the late Arthur and Jeanette Miller Doyle.
Janice was educated in Savannah- Chatham County Public Schools. As an adult, she was employed by the Housing Authority.
Janice was the third of twelve children. She was a loving sister and confidante. She was married to the late Joe Taylor, Jr.. She was a devoted mother to Willie Mae Doyle, Jovonnie Doyle, Phyllis M. Milton, Latoysha M. Doyle, and William Milton III.
She was an affectionate grandmother to her grands, great grands, and anyone needing her loving embrace. To her nieces, nephews, and other family members, she was a compassionate supporter.
She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and became a member of Carver village Church of Christ.
The Lord blessed her with a beautiful and fruitful life which imparted light and wisdom to those who had the privilege of knowing her. On May 10, 2025, surrounded by family, she peacefully transitioned from this life to Glory.
Janice is also preceded in death by two sisters, Rosa Lee Carter of Detroit, and Patricia Doyle Gaynor.
She leaves to cherish fond memories, three daughters, Willie Mae Doyle (Stacy), Phyllis M. Milton (Nathaniel), and Latoysha M. Doyle, all of Savannah, Georgia; two sons, Jovonnie L. (Shawdanee) Doyle, and William Milton III of Savannah, Georgia; three sisters, Margaret Blake Dyson (Frank), Jeanette Blake (James), and Frankie Mae Doyle (Don) all of Savannah, Georgia; six brothers, Arthur Doyle, LeRoy Doyle, and Cleveland Doyle, Willie Doyle, Steven Doyle (Yvonne), and James Doyle all of Savannah, Georgia; and a host of grands, great-grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives; also her special friend, Bernard Taylor.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Georgia Hospice, Tina Beasley of Peace of Mind, and Tonya Gordon, of Chatham County.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Families First Funeral Care & Cremation Center, 1328 Dean Forest Road, Savannah, Georgia 31405.
