Jerry C. Hester

Our beloved father Jerry Colen Hester, age 78, of Savannah, Georgia, died peacefully on May 4th, 2021.

Jerry proudly served in the U.S. Army. He dedicated his life to teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and leading numerous people to the Lord. He loved traveling and most especially watching his Atlanta Braves. He was the eldest son of the late James and Tillie Hester of Richmond Hill, Georgia.

Preceded in death by his youngest son, Jerry Hester Chanes and a brother, Randy Hester, he is survived by his son, Jimmy Hester of Guyton, Georgia and his daughter, Lisa Hester Macy of Summerville, South Carolina; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his brother, Gary Hester and sister, Pam Wood.

In view of his wishes a small, private ceremony was held by the immediate family.

So sorry to learn of Mr. Hester’s passing, he waited until I went on leave. He and I have had a long, close professional relationship and I will truly miss him dearly.
